Exhibitions related to our mission by local and national artists are presented each season in the Clifford Gallery, Belfast. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 10am-5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until 8 pm, during special events and by appointment. Outdoor installations on the Montville grounds are open seasonally during daylight hours.

An ongoing mixed media installation work that was begun in 2004. “Mind the Gap” deals generally with humankind’s relationship with the natural world and more specifically speaks to the theory that civilizations that have advanced the most, have done so at the expense and flagrant disregard of the natural world.

MICHAEL SHAUGHNESSY - "Long Bound for Kingdom Falls"
Bound hay sculpture runs through the woods at Kingdom Falls
SLUICEWAY RECLAMATION PROJECT
Artists Martha Piscuskas and Stew Henderson reclaimed the old sluiceway that once ran grist and lumber mills at the Kingdom.
AVY CLAIRE - "the nursery"
Artist-in-Residence Avy Claire will be working with volunteers to construct a "nursery" a large-scale, site specific installation in the woods at the Kingdom. Opens July 20th during the mid-summer celebration.
BARBARA ANDRUS - "weaving trees"
Barbara Andrus will teach students how to ply and weave branches into textured shapes and spheres at the Kingdom July 14 through 18. A large collaborative piece will be unveiled at the mid-summer celebration July 20.
